December 13th - Week Seven

11am - Adiyat started strong and held the early lead with Nas fighting back to take a small lead at the half. The second half was all Nas as they put up 56 points and blew Adiyat out of the gym by a 89-54 final score.Sanel Sehic led the way with 27 points, hitting 8 threes with 6 of them coming in a row from far far out. Bilal Forde finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Yasin Douglas finished with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Adiyat came in with no subs which contributed to the second half collapse, they were led by Hamza Chaudhary with 23 points, including 6/9 shooting threes while Assim Chaudhary finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds. The win puts Nas into a three-way tie for third while the loss keeps Adiyat in 7th and the relegation zone.

12pm - Tamjeed defeated Zilzal by a 55-48 final score, they were led by Andre Henriques with 18 points and 6 rebounds as he made an impact against his former team. Zilzal used their size to attack and the mismatches resulted in a lot of free throw attempts that they made good on to control the game. Zilzal was led by Fareed Cheema with 19 points including 6 three's. Zilzal also made a shrewd more before the game as they acquired Ahmed Khalid who finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds in his debut, Khalid will provide them with some depth and a good wing player to give them an offensive boost as he moves from Ma'un who will miss his presence and desperately need others on the team to now step up.

1pm - Asr demolished Kawthar by a 50-29 final score as they started the game on fire building a 19-point lead at the half and coasting the rest of the way. Asr was led by Sebastian Selea and Zohaib Danish who each finished with 12 points, with Salea going 4/6 on three's. Sajjawal Khan finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds while Uzair Danish finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds in a limited role as he deals with a foot injury. Kawthar started slow and were never able to recover. Isfan Prebtani and Esau Habibulla each finished with 7 points to lead their team.

2pm - Takathur got a 20-0 default win over Kursi who have been struggling with injuries and missing players and could not pull together five players. Takathur was going to be missing a few of their key players as well but were ready to compete.

3pm - Fathia defeated Falaq in overtime by a 45-43 final score in the game of the day. A trademark of all Fatiha games is low scoring and tough defense and this one followed those usual traits. Falaq built an early lead but Fatiha chipped away to take a two point lead at the half and the game was never more than a one-possession lead the rest of the way. Overtime was a reflection of the rest of the game as Fatiha got the only basket as Mike Jacobs hit a runner in traffic as time expired. Fatiha was led by Mike Jacobs with 14 points while Jawad Khalid finished with 12 points. Deklon Roberts had a big influence with 10 points and some great defense and he set up the winning shot with a great drive and dish play. Falaq was led by Sherif Shehata with 11 points and Darko Trifunovic with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

4pm - Qariyah dominated this one and walked away with a 92-56 win as they dominated the post with their size advantage and caught Inshirah out of position for easy transition baskets. Qariyah was led by Babur Ali with 25 points and 9 rebounds as he had some highlight finishes around the rim. Saad Ahmad finished with 20 points and did not have to exert himself much further with his team up; Abdullah Alzoubi finished with 18 points and 23 rebounds while Rohan Mohammed Ghori finished with 16 points. Inshirah was led by Deen Choudhury with 25 points with 4/6 shooting three's while Reyhan Choudhury finished with 19 points. Inshirah is still looking for their first win of the season but if the two Choudhury brothers are around its only a matter of time before they get on the winning track. Qariyah remains undefeated and is in great position to finish top two and earn the play-in game to the Tier-1 playoffs.

The league is now on a winter break with games starting up again on January 10th.
